    Excellent Evening

The Olympus Stylus 850SW is the camera for you:

It’s waterproof, shock-proof, and freeze proof, it’s just over two hundred. It would make a perfect outdoor camera in general- it can really take blows. You say you’re skiing, most camera’s aren’t even meant to be in conditions colder than 30 degrees fahrenheit.

To get even halfway decent shots – above all action – you will need a pretty excellent lens. Make sure to get a polarizing filter. (circular if you do autofocus).
